Leaderboard

A live leaderboard with instant rank estimation

Positions depend only on the bid amount. Higher bids rank higher, and ties go to the earlier bid (ORDER BY amount_cents DESC, created_at ASC).

  • Stepper. − and + controls update your estimated rank as you change your offer.
  • Clear hierarchy. Rank #1 gets gold styling and a crown, ranks #2 and #3 silver and bronze, rank #4 and below compact rows.
  • Live heartbeat. Visitor counters and background refresh keep the board in sync for everyone.

Top-ups

Top up the difference, never pay twice

When someone outbids you, you do not start again. The top-up engine finds your existing listing and charges only the difference:

  • Identity lookup. Entering an existing URL or Twitter/X @handle checks your current standing straight away.
  • Difference only. If your project holds €15 and rank #1 is at €20, you pay €5 to take the top spot.
  • Cumulative credit. Earlier contributions keep counting toward your project's position.

Previews and redirects

Automatic link previews and clean outbound links

Enter your destination URL and the server-side scraper does the rest:

  • OpenGraph preview. Title, description, favicon and thumbnail are extracted for a rich card.
  • Privacy-preserving redirector. Outbound clicks go through /r/{id}, which strips cross-site tracking parameters and counts real clicks.
  • Custom overrides. Sponsors can set their own title and slogan at checkout or in the admin portal.

Payments and security

Hosted Stripe Checkout and hashed personal data

Payments run through official Stripe Checkout sessions (Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, iDEAL and SEPA), with automatic reconciliation.

  • Hosted Stripe redirect. No card data touches the application server; payments are verified through the Stripe API.
  • No webhook secret needed. Verification through the Stripe API updates ranks immediately without a fragile signing setup.
  • Anonymised data. IP addresses and checkout session tokens are SHA-256 hashed before they are stored in SQLite.
